Check in: Anytime after 3:00 p.m.
Check out: 11:00 a.m. (late check-outs by arrangement with the Innkeeper only)
Reservations: Your reservation is secured at Knowles Hill when payment in full is received. Finalizing this in advance allows us to focus on more important things like getting you comfortably settled when you arrive.
Cancellations: We have a 7-day cancellation policy for a full refund, minus a 10% cancellation fee -OR- a RAIN CHECK can be issued for a future stay with NO FEE. If a stay is cancelled 7-days or less from your arrival date, a rain check can be issued for a future Sunday – Thursday (non holiday) night stay so you will never truly lose out if you have to cancel.
Gate Code and Security: Information required for access to Knowles Hill will be delivered with the confirmation of your reservation. Keys, and personal contact information for the Innkeeper will be provided when you arrive. Guests are responsible for the security of their valuables and property. Our keys are special. A $40 charge will be applied to your account for each non-returned key.
Maid Service: Available upon request. No Maid Service available on Saturdays. Extra towels and supplies are always available upon request.
Pets: We love animals! We have too many! Regrettably, NO VISITING PETS are allowed on the property. Please do not arrive with a SURPRISE PET! You will be asked to leave and your money will NOT be refunded. There are many reasons for this. Some of our guests may have allergies or sensitivities to animals and our pets do not get along well with outside animal friends. We think you will enjoy our outdoor pets, some who will greet you when you arrive.
Handicapped Access: Knowles Hill was built over eighty years ago when the handicapped did not get the consideration that they need and deserve. Access to every level, even the main entrance, is by old-fashioned stairs. The house has been carefully preserved in its original state and handicapped access is not currently available, although a long ramp system is being built.
Smoking: Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside Knowles Hill Inn. Cleaning and/or damage costs will be assessed if necessary. Smoking is permitted on the front porch and a receptacle is provided for disposal of debris.
Candles & Open Fires: Candles and incense are not allowed in guest rooms. Open fires are forbidden anywhere on the property.
Damages and Destruction: Cleaning and/or damage costs will be assessed and billed if necessary.
On occasion, the Inn hosts special events that may require the use of common areas making these temporarily unavailable to overnight guests such as the Living Room, Sunroom, Library, Dining Rooms, etc. In these cases, breakfast accommodations will still be provided on-site to bed and breakfast guests.
